Obsession du Jour: Shoes to Die For

I am currently in love with all Loeffler Randall shoes. Somehow every style manages to be polished, feminine with an edge, and comfortable. As difficult as it is to choose a favorite, these "Sylvie" wedge boots (available in tan and black) are definitely at the top of my list of shoes that I would go to extreme measures to acquire. I am getting a Left Bank vibe from these boots; pair them with skinny dark denim, a long chunky sweater, and a cropped trench coat.

Menswear is a popular trend this fall. I think the best way to wear this trend is channel Katherine Hepburn. One part nonchalantly androgynous, one part patrician elegance and entirely effortlessly stylish.

Trend Watch Fall 2007: Cafe Society Vamp

The year is 1926...the place is Paris. It is a culturally flourishing time...pleasure seekers mingle with artists, writers, musicians, and performers languishly sipping cafe au laits and having heated discussions.

The Cafe Society vamp understands that fashion is about more than clothes...it is a way of life. Her clothes tell a story... she has her finger of the pulse of twenties culture...she is liberated, full of joie de vivre, and deeply alluring to all who lay eyes on her.

The following are a plethora of fashion so that you too can play the vamp. If you really want to add intrigue don't forget deep plum lipstick, nail polish, charcoal eye liner, and provocative parfum.

Trend Watch Fall 2007: Party Like Its 1922

A major fashion trend this fall is the Twenties. The Great Gatsby look is one interpretation of the glamorous and decadent "Jazz Age." It evokes the American twenties... the prosperity, perpetual soirees, croquet on the estate lawns, and dancing the night away.

Just to explain, there are many options for channeling the twenties as shown with the different looks. There's even striking suits... for those of you who are feeling Nick's style more than Daisy's.
